Description of Trafik Meteor:
The following diagram summarizes the principal characteristics of the system, which is made up of two parts:
- An embarked module, responsible for capturing data and sending them to the control center.
- A control center, responsible for receiving, storing and displaying the data.

Embarked Module:
The embarked module will measure the physical conditions that, along with the GPS position, allow geo-referencing the data for correct treatment and representation.
Physical conditions to be measured are:
- Temperature of asphalt.
- Ambient temperature (air temperature).
- Relative ambient humidity.
Geo-referencing is obtained through the simultaneous reading of the values of a GPS receptor which give:
- Precise geographical position.
- Precise dating of the measurement.
Control Center:
Centro de Control
The Control Center includes standard hardware elements and software elements developed specifically for the system.
The size of the Control Center depends on the number of vehicles that carry the embarked module and on the number of users who access display of the data.
The system software must be developed specifically for the application. The end-user interface of the application is created with a Web application. This allows access to the interface from any location with network access.
