Localization Module (GPS)

This module allows the localization of mobile fleets, as well as of associated urban material (containers, trash bins, collection agencies) through the following elements:

Embarked Modules (GPS/GPRS):

These can be installed in mobile teams: trucks, cleaning squads, etc.

Through configurable forms of information exchange via remote control and according to needs, the device allows:

  • Sending/receiving e-mail, SMS
  • Downloading/uploading of files via FTP
  • Communication through TCP/IP

The TCP/IP connection service is implemented through an interchange of information in real time with the embarked equipment; a command can be used to configure the time intervals or the maximum distance covered in which the localizer will establish a link with the Control Center.

Management software with PDA to geo-reference urban material.

This software allows geo-referencing all fixed elements included in urban material, such as:

  • Containers.
  • Trash bins.
  • Collection agencies.

Communication modules.

These allow storage and real-time consultation of history.

 


Control Center (CC) Module:

This module allows access, visualization and real-time management through a Web interface of all elements associated to the service, divided into the following components:

In the following, we will give details on each of the modules that are found in the control center and on their functions.

Visualization Module:

This module allows real-time or deferred visualization using GIS, making it possible to:

  • Know the position of the different mobile and/or fixed devices.
  • Visualize trajectory history.
  • Relate trajectories to elements of urban material.

Route Management Module:

This allows management of all data related to a route:

  • Authorizations.
  • Non-authorizations.
  • Modifications.
  • Consultations using history or in real time:
    • Actual route.
    • Theoretical route.
    • Warnings on the route.

Module of Incidents, Warnings and Notification:

The module of incidents, warnings and notification allows observing and planning actions on incidents stemming from:

  • collection of containers
  • completion or non-completion of route
  • evolution of personnel
  • operation of the system itself

Warnings can be generated for:

  • Passage: passage at a certain distance from a predetermined point.
  • Delay: if a vehicle has not arrived to a concrete point at a predetermined time.
  • Sensors: loads:
    • Inclusion of weight control and online transfer of this information should be foreseen.
    • To do this, the embarked GPS device must be capable of controlling the tag and barcode readers.
    • This information will allow defining and optimizing routes, as well as frequency.

That is, it is possible to obtain information about how containers are filled on different routes, thereby facilitating decisions or modifications concerning the route or collection frequency.

As configurable actions, the system allows automatic sending of SMS/e-mail, according to requirement policies, to the service managers when warnings are generated.

Module of Public Cleaning:

This module allows the management and visualization of all elements related to public cleaning; for example, containers, trash bins, filling holes or water hydrants, etc.

To summarize, it manages:

  • Authorizations
  • Non-authorizations
  • Modifications
  • Consultation, including history, according to:
    • Frame number
    • Repairs
    • Type of container
    • Collection schedule (through the relation of schedule to localization)

Complaint Management Module:

The goal of this module is to automate and digitize complaints that are not normally recorded in digital format.  This automation and digitizing of information allows a more efficient exchange of information within a same contract or with the municipality, as well as:

  • Control of the ratio of completion of the contract, generation of automatic alarms in case of non-completion of standards.
  • Bringing municipal residents in closer contact with the cleaning service through automatic management that allows authorizing codes than can be attended to in the most flexible way.

In summary, the module allows consulting and generating complaints from the control center through a form on which it is possible to attach photos and, later, to:

  • Make copies.
  • Print.
  • Consult any data or complaint in the history.
  • Send the information via e-mail in digital format (pdf, etc.)

Work Report Module:

The work report module aims to automate and digitize the different types of work reports that are normally done on paper. The following types are currently supported:

  • Covering of paint.
  • Removal of posters.
  • Daily cleaning reports.
  • Removal of signs.
  • Removal of syringes and dead animals.

The module supports consultation and generation of work reports from the control center through a form (basic maintenance) that will later allow:

  • Making copies.
  • Printing.
  • Consulting any data or part of the history.
  • Sending information via e-mail in digital format (pdf, etc.).

 

Residual Waste and Clean Points Module:

This module allows automation and digitizing of the different types of work reports for residual waste and clean points.

From the control center, it is possible to authorize, modify and consult any entry, as well as obtain listings and general reports, such as:

  • Bilbo Gardi → Model 130.
  • Residual waste → Model 120.
  • Weekly Summary → Model 140.

Incident and Resident Service Module:

The resident service module concerns those parts of service linked with municipal residents, such as:

  • Collection of furniture.
  • Complaints and suggestions.
  • Resident Service.

In addition to the mechanisms and means of incident detection and control, it is important to provide service to residents and obtain their collaboration. This module allows flexible:

  • Management of incidents via Web for residents.
  • Collection service for furniture and other possessions via Web.

Concerning the incident management module, it allows taking care of incidents of:

  • Filling.
  • Overload.
  • etc.

in a guided way.
