System for Environmental Management (SIGMA):

Flota de Camiones

SIGMA is a system of integral management of cleaning, collection and waste treatment services in the urban environment.

The main advantages of the system are centralization, automation, GIS localization and traceability of the processes that make up the service:

Management of collection, cleaning and maintenance teams and units.

SIGMA automates the generation of work reports and other reports, in such a way that they are available in real time to the concessionaire for proper planning.

Real-time and deferred-mode route management.

SIGMA features tools to compare theoretical and real routes and generates automatic reports and alarms for the optimization and tracking of completion of programmed services.

Maintenance, management and inventory of public spaces and equipment for urban furnishings.

Through real-time centralization (GPS/GPRS), the system allows localizing both mobile and fixed elements, such as waste containers, waste bins, water hydrants, etc., and their visualization and tracking via GIS (Geographic Information System).

All information received on the status of collection is processed by the system, thereby providing an exact monitoring of the level of service quality.

SIGMA provides a useful and efficient tool for incident management. The cleaning and maintenance teams, equipped with a PDA, receive from the system information on incidents or collection orders; part of the incident information is generated automatically and is immediately sent to the system for rapid processing.

Another of the differentiating aspects of the system is the integration of a service module for municipal residents.

By using a Web form or calling customer service, the users (residents) give information on incidents that the system will process for a correct synchronization of collection, thereby providing better user service. SIGMA gives the concessionaire and the municipality an efficient tool for the monitoring of service in its most resident-oriented aspect.
